Rev. Ryan Canaday, Director
Ryan earned his Master of Divinity with a concentration in Justice & Peace Studies from the Iliff School of Theology in 2009. He loves being in ministry with students/young adults, and is passionate about making sense of Christianity in our world. Ryan is convinced that following Jesus requires us to move beyond the walls of a church building, as we reach out to the least, the last, and the forgotten in our world. He is a commissioned Elder in the United Methodist Church.
Ryan enjoys outdoor cooking, watching/going to baseball games, snowboarding, and spending time at home with his wife, Tami, and their beautiful & playful 18-month-old daughter, Selah.

Alejandro Alfaro, Iliff Student Intern
Alejandro is from Guatemala and just moved to Denver to attend the Iliff School of Theology. He studied Anthropology and a Masters in Development in Guatemala but decided to switch gears and now is in his second year of the Master of Divinity program. Alejandro believes Christianity needs to be changed to fit Jesus' teachings. Jesus didn’t judge or discriminate anyone based on gender, sexual preference, social class or ethnicity and if a person calls himself/herself Christian, he/she should act the same way as the one they proclaim to follow. Alejandro is working towards becoming an ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church.
He likes to act with the Romero Troupe in Denver, bike, read and write poetry in Spanish and spend quality time with his wife, Maria.
